    16 September 2020: RS2000 Millennium Series

A small, but quality fleet of ten visiting boats, two from Wales, joined one home boat at Itchenor Sailing Club on the weekend of the 12/13 th September for round 3 of the 2000 class Millennium series. The weather was perfect and provided competitors with champagne sailing conditions and lots of decisions about tides, gusts and shifts. With low tide at approx. 1.20pm, Saturday's racing began on an ebbing tide and

The Sunbeam Fleet at Itchenor Keelboat Week 2020

Itchenor Keelboat Week 2020 - Solent Sunbeams Despite the rescheduled date and shortened race programme, the Solent Sunbeam Class enjoyed excellent racing under the superb stewardship of race officer, Roger Wickens, with twenty-one boats racing, the biggest turnout for Keelboat Week for many years. On Day 1 a long start line was laid near the entrance to the Thorney Channel which gave the fleet plenty

The XOD Fleet at Itchenor Keelboat Week 2020

Itchenor Keelboat Week was a little delayed this year. In fact it was not week but four days. However, in many respects IKW had most of the elements that have always attracted the largest turnouts of the XOD fleet at Itchenor Sailing Club when it was called Points Week. First and foremost was the excellent race management and in particular superlative course setting that the fleet has enjoyed over the past sixteen years.

07 Sept 2020: Itchenor Keelboat Week Sunbeams Race Report

Itchenor Keelboat Week Day 1 Not for the first time this year the wind forecast was spot on with Windguru indicating a maximum of 7 knots for the first day of Itchenor Keelboat Week. Unfortunately, that occurred shortly after the start and the wind generally abated during the rest of the morning. 14 Sunbeams out of the 20 entered chose to make the best of the light winds. Large fleets for Itchenor mid August keelboat regatta August 17t h - 21 st 2020 After the preceding weeks of light winds and baking temperatures the keelboat sailors of Itchenor Sailing Club welcomed the stronger winds of last week. 19 August 2020: Sailing Postponed Wednesday August Keelboat and Dinghy Week

ISC A K & D Week Wednesday Race Update Inevitably the wind forecasts for tomorrow vary - but all are at the feisty end of the scale and with some quite punchy gusts on top as well. Heavy rain seems certain and with the allied poor visibility, the suggested wind direction and the likely proximity of any HISC fleets in a restricted race area appropriate for the wind direction all

    14 August 2020: XOD 8 - 11 August Race Week

Chichester Harbour is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of water in the country. This was the inspiration behind the Itchenor Sailing Club XOD class's recent four day series of relaxed races. Saturday as the first day and the fleet were set a course that included a mark Church that has never in living memory featured in a course from Itchenor. Church is positioned near the entrance to Northney Marina, way
