Int14 Easter Tray
15 International Fourteens attended this year's Easter Tray event at Itchenor Sailing Club over the Bank Holiday weekend. The three-day event is the traditional curtain-raiser for the class and is the first cross for the gun teams with their sights set on the World Championships in August. Ice Breaker Mirror Coached Racing Series
This week saw a wonderful finale to the Ice Breaker Mirror Coached Racing Series. 18 Boats on both Good Friday and Easter Saturday adding up to a total of 50 young sailors competing over the first 4 weeks of the season in 24 different Mirror Dinghies…..similar numbers of boys and girls and a median age that could not have been far off 10 years old. Many of these sailors experiencing racing for the first time.

The First Weekend of the Sailing Season!!

Random Rowing Regatta 19th March 2022
A sparkling day with a strong wind (white horses and 30knot gusts) made the 2nd Random Rowing Regatta at Northney challenging and fun for all. Well done to all Itchenor participants and supporters. Itchenor Merlin Training Weekend
5th & 6th March was the opening weekend for the Merlin Rocket class and 17 eager teams arrived at Itchenor SC ready to get a jump start on the season with a weekend of training led by multiple Champs winner Christian Birrell supported by Tim Saxton, Ian Dobson and George Yeoman, with special guest appearances from Alex Warren and Caroline Croft. 2nd February: Spotted!
Spotted on Wednesday 2nd February 5 rowers and a dog returning from a glorious trip to Dell Quay. The outing included Bacon Butties and coffee at Chichester Marina. Rowing has been in full swing since New Year's Day with 50 outings so far! We have had numerous flat calm sunny days perfect for watching birds and seals and ideal for rowing in Quadrille.

Winter Cruising
Sunshine and calm seas greeted a three boat flotilla for the inaugural trip of Calyopi, Peter and Kim Henshaw's new motor yacht recently. The Cruisers were looked after exceptionally well by the staff at Emsworth SC where a delicious lunch for 18 was served. Thanks to Colin Maclean and Baz Taylor for organising such a fab day.
