Random Rowing Regatta 19th March 2022
A sparkling day with a strong wind (white horses and 30knot gusts) made the 2nd Random Rowing Regatta at Northney challenging and fun for all. Well done to all Itchenor participants and supporters. 2nd February: Spotted!
Spotted on Wednesday 2nd February 5 rowers and a dog returning from a glorious trip to Dell Quay. The outing included Bacon Butties and coffee at Chichester Marina. Rowing has been in full swing since New Year's Day with 50 outings so far! We have had numerous flat calm sunny days perfect for watching birds and seals and ideal for rowing in Quadrille.

26 July: Launch of our new quad sculling boat
On Sunday 26th July Itchenor members gathered for the launch party of our new and very special boat. She was named "Quadrille" by Clare Blevins to the delighted applause of Itchenor members. Quadrille is a coastal quad sculling boat with sliding seats for a crew of 4 plus cox. She is 10.7 metres long and weighs 150 kilos, so 4-6 people should be able to lift her.

10 May 2019: Rowing Open Day
The day started at 0730 when Swift Rowing who lent us the sliding seat coastal boats moved their trailer out of Haines in quiet sunny conditions and started to unload the 2 single sculls, one double scull and the quad to transform the staging into a hive of rowing activity. The first "Tasters" arrived 0930 and last at 1630. We saw rowing regulars mix with members coming for their first experience from all sailing

04 March 2019: Rowing Rally
The sun shone and the boats and people kept arriving for the first Itchenor Rowing Rally on Saturday 2nd March. They rowed from Eastney, Langstone, Emsworth, Bosham and Westlands and drove from the Hamble and Portsmouth to assemble a flotilla of different styles of rowing boat. The aim of the day was to get as many people rowing in as many different types of boats as possible. By midday Itchenor Sailing Club

23 July 2018: War Graves at Thorney Island
Another first, visited the War Graves at Thorney Island church see picture. Saw a seal basking on the Eastern shore of the Thorney channel on the way home. This was the inaugural rally for the RS 2000s and the Rowers! Great coffee and cake thanks to Clare and Sarah. Biggest slice of cake for Lilly and great 1st outing for Sarah BP.

01 July 2018: Round Hayling Island Rowing Race
Round Hayling Island Rowing Race A rowing team from Itchenor entered the Round Hayling Island Rowing Race last Sunday 17 June joining 25+ other boats which included Cornish Pilot Gigs, Solent Galleys, Whalers, St Ayles Skiffs and Bursledon Gigs. Our boat is a Solent Galley called Bembridge and was one of four galleys entered. The day dawned with leaden skies and 20+ knot winds forecast so the organisers decided to change the route
