Itchenor Keelboat Week - XOD race report

Itchenor Keelboat Week was attended by 27 XOD's with 6 guest boats sailing with us, and one guest on Merlin! With over 100 boats on the water, it began hot and sunny with just enough wind to get down harbour, out to Beach and Treloar, round a few others and back, but gradually as the week progressed so we lost the sun and wind to overcast and rain.  Wednesday we managed a delicious

    The Itchenor Sailing Club Regatta

The Itchenor Regatta is one of the highlights of the ISC calendar, attracting sailors from far and wide to join in for a day of racing.   102 boats battled it out on the water, with a mixture of windward/leeward and round-the-cans racing.  With over 17 boats in each keelboat fleet, this was a record turnout for the year so far.  Thanks to Bosham for supporting the event with over 20

Day 2 Pinch me, 65 plus boats on start line in three fleets all offering a slightly different experience, turquoise blue skies, east/south east/ southerly sea breeze to confuse the PRO, and ensure plenty of water drunk, suncream employed and an empty high water harbour...enjoy! And so to day 2. 18 Sunbeams on start line. Yesterday the first 8 boats to get there were split 50:50 as to whether to

    Marvellous Max Mirror Mission

Saturday, May 29 th  saw a fantastic turnout of 28 Mirrors for the 2021 Max Mirror Mission. Over 50 young sailors mostly under 13, some with parents, sailed around the Harbour collecting tokens from waterborne treasure islands to exchange for burgers on a BBQ back at the club.  A Monte Carlo start format with timed finishes saw Lucinda Leaver and Theodora Rogers take first place, meanwhile Geoffrey Gestetner and Josh stormed to the front

24 February 2021: Latest Coronavirus Update from The Commodore

I hear ever more members have been vaccinated, fuelling enthusiasm to get out and go sailing.  There is definitely an air of restrained excitement to go boating having suffered a long winter - and with no skiing for those fortunate enough normally to do so. I wanted to say thank you to you all for continuing to pay your membership subscriptions despite perhaps not always a full offering from the club last
