    The 2021 Merlin Rocket National Championships

    The 2021 Merlin Rocket National Championships were held in North Berwick at East Lothian Yacht Club. Given the last 18 months, this was the first opportunity for a Champs in 2 years and the competition was strong.  Two Itchenor boats made the long journey up, Tim Saxton & Mary Henderson had been a form boat all season with the new pairing getting stronger and stronger each event, whilst Ben Saxton

    Itchenor Sailing Club Junior Fortnight - 25 July - 6 August 2021

    240 competitors aged 8-18 competed in Junior Fortnight at Itchenor Sailing Club this year. The race organisers and competitors had to endure very varied weather conditions from no wind to too much and biblical quantities of rain at times. But this certainly did not dampen their spirits. The JF Committee laid on a massive outdoor social programme for all ages under ISC's new tent which was put up for the event. This included

    RS200 week - Monday 9th to Friday 13th August -18-25 year-olds

    Itchenor Sailing Club is hosting an RS200 event for 18-25 year-olds next week from Monday 9th to Friday 13th August.  The fun-packed week of sailing and evening entertainment starts on Monday afternoon, the first race is at 16.00 and there will be two back-to-back races each day; the intention is to return to the club by 18.30 each night.  Supper will be available Tuesday to Friday.  To enter: Book online in the normal way.  Entries from

    Junior Fortnight Week 2 Report

    The British weather continues to throw a bit of everything at Junior Fortnight and, thankfully, COVID has not defeated us and we keep going safely.  Monday and today have been our most reliable days for racing where Tuesday and Wednesday were mostly abandoned due to a lack of wind.     Itchenor Keelboat Week - XOD race report

    Itchenor Keelboat Week was attended by 27 XOD's with 6 guest boats sailing with us, and one guest on Merlin! With over 100 boats on the water, it began hot and sunny with just enough wind to get down harbour, out to Beach and Treloar, round a few others and back, but gradually as the week progressed so we lost the sun and wind to overcast and rain.  Wednesday we managed a delicious

    The Itchenor Sailing Club Regatta

    The Itchenor Regatta is one of the highlights of the ISC calendar, attracting sailors from far and wide to join in for a day of racing.   102 boats battled it out on the water, with a mixture of windward/leeward and round-the-cans racing.  With over 17 boats in each keelboat fleet, this was a record turnout for the year so far.  Thanks to Bosham for supporting the event with over 20

    Day 2 Pinch me, 65 plus boats on start line in three fleets all offering a slightly different experience, turquoise blue skies, east/south east/ southerly sea breeze to confuse the PRO, and ensure plenty of water drunk, suncream employed and an empty high water harbour...enjoy!     Marvellous Max Mirror Mission

    Saturday, May 29 th  saw a fantastic turnout of 28 Mirrors for the 2021 Max Mirror Mission. Over 50 young sailors mostly under 13, some with parents, sailed around the Harbour collecting tokens from waterborne treasure islands to exchange for burgers on a BBQ back at the club.  A Monte Carlo start format with timed finishes saw Lucinda Leaver and Theodora Rogers take first place, meanwhile Geoffrey Gestetner and Josh stormed to the front
