6 May 2018: Names announced for our RS2000
Published 14:23 on 6 May 2018
We were delighted to see such a successful Open Day on Sunday 6 May to officially launch our new 2000 Dinghy Sailing Experience. Despite the hot conditions and terrible traffic we welcomed many new faces to the Club.
The highlight of the event was the launch and official naming of our new 2000 dinghies. The winning names - Zephyr, Skate and Mako were selected following a competition with local schools and the general public. Pam Clarke, Frank Frizelle and Barnaby Curwood provided the winning suggestions. Each were rewarded with one month's free membership as well as a neck gaiter from Rooster Sailing.
The new dinghies are available for hire on a full or half day basis to members.
We are currently running a special introductory members' offer for the first year and free first use of one of the 2000 dinghies. Those who have yet to reach the required level to take a boat out on their own, will receive a free half day training session or alternatively they can join one of the various RYA training weekends that we run.
We look forward to seeing members make good use of Zephyr, Skate and Mako!
